We all have so much to be thankful to God for, not only on this glorious Thanksgiving Day but every day. Many challenges and difficulties in our world, society and even personal homes have surfaced this year. Although the pandemic has been less of a challenge due to vaccination and boosters, it still exists and is causing some havoc. Supply chains are less plentiful, which causes empty shelves in many of our stores. I could go on and on with the negatives we may have come face to face with daily. Nevertheless, I choose to have “A Thankful Heart!”
Without a doubt, there is so much for all of us to be grateful to God for. He supplies all of our needs. Indeed, if we trust Him, we have no lack. The songwriter says, “When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all He has done for me. My soul cries out hallelujah. I thank God for saving me.” Not only has He saved my soul, but the Lord has kept me from things I know of and from some things I will never know. That is why I must have “A Thankful Heart!”
As I conclude, please take time apart from saying dinner grace to give God some praise, glory, and honor for the great things He has done. Use this day to share special moments with family and friends. Call someone and tell them how much you appreciate having them in your life. Lay aside all worries, stress, and wants and have “A Thankful Heart!” I am grateful for each of you dear readers who take the time to read the weekly posts and send me words of encouragement and for your prayers. Happy and blessed Thanksgiving to you and your family!
With a grateful heart!
